gorge

Gorge walking is the younger brother of coasteering.  It involves moving up or down a fast flowing river by swimming, scrambling, climbing/jumping off waterfalls and letting the rapids take you down the river. Not much walking involved contrary to its name.

Gorge walking is also known as Gorge Scrambling or Canyoning in different parts of the world. This is basically an inland coasteering. All aspects of this sport are the same; you just get more bumps and bruises from this sport due to the rocks under the rapids which are sat there waiting to give you a nice, big extreme love bite (bruise).

We at SolSteerin recommend that you take part in this extreme sport with a fully experienced and qualified company. You will be provided with helmets, wetsuits and buoyancy aids for the gorge walk. You may have to use your own footwear. Walking boots are good for this. Also, it is worth wearing water proof socks. Freezing feet will bring your day to an early end.
