Free Running/Parkour
Free running is a very athletic sport where urban and rural areas are used to perform different movements, tricks and stunts to move through the surroundings.
The aim of free running is to move from one point to another as quickly and as efficiently as humanly possible (or if you have seen free running yourself you might think super humanly possibly!). Free running takes its moves from parkour and adds athletic vaults and other acrobatics.
It is normaly practised at gymnasiums and in urban areas that are full of obstacles. However, free running and parkour are separate, a fact often missed due to their similarities.
Parkour or PK (the art of travel) as a discipline comprises efficiency, whilst free running embodies complete freedom of movement and includes many acrobatic manoeuvres. Although the two are physically similar, the mindsets of each are very different. . Also don't try any thing as crazy as the professional free runners in the following video.
This extreme sport is becoming more like a religion or way of life than a hobby that you do when you have a chance. It will change the way that you look at the world that you live in. Its all about freedom and feeling alive.
