The Review.
To be completely honest when we received this cook system we weren’t expecting much. How can it heat food or liquid to a high temperature without a flame? We tested it on an extreme cold evening on high ground in the middle of nowhere. It’s extreme light and takes up far less space than carrying a stove and gas canisters. After finding a suitable spot we began to cook. First we tried the flask. For this you have to use the “High Power” heat sachets. Measure out the correct amount of water into the measuring tube. Add this and the sachet to the outer flask and put the inner flask on top of the two in the outer flask with the drink or soup you want to heat up. After about 6-7 minutes your drink is ready. It’s that easy.
The same process applies to the cook set but using the “Super Power” sachets. Measure the water in the measuring tube to the fill line that says Super Power and do the same as the flask but in the cooking containers. This takes a bit longer to heat up. About 10 to 12 minutes.
We were amazed at how hot the drinks and the food were. We had to wait for them to cool before we could eat or drink them.
This is a really good system for anyone looking for a ultra light weight, fast, easy method of cooking for a couple of nights. The beauty is that you can cook in the tent with no danger involved. If the weather is bad the last thing you want to do is lean out the tent to cook so for this reason alone it makes it a great product.
The only bad points we could see were the price of the extra sachets and the waste sachets. The High Power sachets are 7 for £10 and the Super Power sachets are 5 for £10. Then, of course, you have to dispose of these sachets with the heat making chemicals within them.
The Flameless Cook set is £40 and the Flask is £30.
Overall a great, easy cook system.
