Base Jumping
Probably the most dangerous extreme sport of them all. Base jumping is the art of jumping from a cliff, building, bridge etc with a parachute. Extreme low altitude and late canopy deploys are, as any skydiver will tell you, very dangerous. Only the best and most qualified skydivers attempt this sport!

"Base" stands for the for catrgories that you can jump off:-
- Building
- Antenna
- Span
- Earth
Base jumping was born out of skydiving but is much higher risk. While base jumping isn't illegal in itself, it's the use of buildings and land marks without permission that is. This can carry heavy charges such as trespassing, breaking and entering, reckless endangerment, vandalism and many more. Due to the high risk in this extreme sport if busted the charges will carry the full penalty for the jumper and his crew involvled.
Equipment
The equipment started out the same as skydiving. But new equipment has been produced to help minimise the risk.
- Wing Suits
- Static Lines (connects from parachute to platform and stretches out the parachute as the jumper falls)
- Faster deploying parachute
Due to the legal problems with this extreme sport, Solsteerin will not be reviewing this sport in full. We do not advise anyone to take up this extreme sport. Extreme sports are there to give people the feeling of being alive and help them live life to the full without getting busted. Difficult to live life to the full behind bars!
